NewWood’s goal is to be at the forefront of the sustainable building revolution because in a world with a growing population and finite resources, businesses and consumers need to use their resources more wisely to survive in a global economy and a more crowded planet.
While we use urban wood waste as one component ingredient at our plant in Elma, WA, our technology is highly adaptable to other waste stream materials. Our goal is to bring NewWood’s technology to countries around the world, diverting locally found waste into sustainable building materials.
NewWood’s other great resource is our team, which embodies the values of innovation, stewardship, personal growth, accountability and teamwork. We are committed to live our own values by producing our building materials with a minimal environmental impact and managing our own waste and

John Bowser is a visionary and entrepreneurial-spirited leader with more than 30 years of success building and growing successful companies. John has proven time and again his entrepreneurial skills marked by successes in starting and growing Trespa North America and Bowser Cabinet and Casework Corporation. Both companies relied on John’s strong entrepreneurial leadership and experienced accelerated growth. As president and CEO of NewWood Manufacturing, John will establish a leadership team of highly successful individuals focused exclusively on the creation of a world class manufacturing company.
Larry Potvin is an accomplished national sales and marketing executive with over 25 years of experience with notable companies such as Trespa North America, Illinois Tool Works and Checkpoint Professional Laser Tools. With Larry’s expertise in global business planning, large account and sales management and sales and marketing, he will apply to NewWood his expertise to maximizing returns on investments through development of successful sales teams and execution of effective global business strategies.
Lincoln Ferris is an accomplished and respected public affairs and corporate communications consultant with over 30 years of experience in media relations and lobbying to crisis communications and grassroots organizing. Lincoln has held numerous leadership and executive positions with organizations such as Services Group of America, Seattle Community Foundation Board, Friends of Scouting in Aurora District of Chief Seattle Council and Evergreen Council of Problem Gambling. With Lincoln’s knack for business and economic development, he will help lead NewWood towards continued success.
Brian Tegen brings nearly a quarter of a century of experience in high level financial management positions to NewWood. With diverse companies such as Grakon, LLC, Hoya Corporation, Tegen developed and managed global finance processes for manufacturers on two continents. Brian also brings knowledge of local recycling markets having implemented costs and finance processes at Tacoma-based Lilyblad Petroleum. Brian earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University and an M.B.A. from Regis University. He is a Washington native and lives in Tacoma.
