At NewWood, we believe every day should be Earth Day when it comes to thinking about the business and human supply chains. In an era of growing populations pitted against finite resources, the success of our economy as well as the success of our planet depends more than ever on a combination of innovation and re-examining our behaviors.
From the day we re-opened our Elma factory, we’ve set out not only to sell the greenest building material on the market, but to set an example for our employees and our community.
So while our consumers can count on us to act globally to divert hundreds of millions of pounds of wood and plastic waste that were landfill bound for our revolutionary product, we also want them to know about some of the little steps we’re taking to think locally including:
Choosing recycled pens and paper inside our factory
Sending out our marketing materials on high grade recycled paper
Using LEED Certified toxin-free cleaning products throughout our facility
Encouraging employees to bring in their plastic waste
Maximizing truck trips by sending our recycling company back to their facility with a load of our cardboard, glass, aluminum and batteries after they’ve delivered our recycled raw materials.
Better materials to build a better world; it’s not just our slogan; it’s what’s inside of us 365 days each year.
