Advantages

Durable
NewWood is more pliable than traditional wood panel products and doesn't splinter or delaminate. Test results show our integrated wood polymer utility boards are more resilient, tough and forgiving to impact than fiberboard, oriented strand board or fiber cement boards.
Sanitary
Recent studies have shown 30% of shipping containers for food and pharmaceuticals are contaminated with bacteria like e-coli and salmonella. NewWood products are more resistant to bacterial transference because the NewWood surface is much less porous than wood.
Water Resistant
NewWood products are the most water resistant on the market because over half of its properties are plastic. Because it barely absorbs water, it's a better choice for construction forms or underlayment as well as any outdoor surface in the Pacific Northwest like fencing.
Weather Resistant
NewWood's products have been tested under a variety of weather conditions: from the rain of the Pacific Northwest, to the extreme heat of the Arizona desert to the cold and snow of Minnesota winters to ensure all of our products can endure whatever Mother Nature can throw at it.
Insect Resistant
Part of NewWood's longevity comes from its resistance to termites that infest ordinary wood products. With 50% plastic content NewWood is undesirable to wood boring insects making it a superior alternative to all-wood products.
American Made
NewWood has re-opened a previously shuttered factory and will create over 150 new green jobs at full production manufacturing revolutionary products in an area that has suffered from chronic high unemployment.
Sustainable
NewWood is made up of 100% recycled material. That means we don't draw from new natural resources, and our waste wood and plastic comes from local communities. Even better, NewWood can be ground up again and again creating an almost endless life cycle, making it an ideal product for those seeking Green Certification for their buildings.

Research

Water Resistance Test Results

NewWood products are the most water resistant on the market because over half of it's properties are plastic. Because it won't absorb water, it's a better choice for construction forms or underlayment as well as any outdoor surface in the Pacific Northwest like fencing.

Durability Test Results

Because of the mixture of recycled flaked wood and plastic, NewWood is more pliable than traditional wood planks and doesn't splinter like most pallets. It can also be washed over and over again, adding to the longevity of fruit bins or any surface that contacts food.
